  • 1 small bitter gourd 

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced

  • ½ cucumber, thinly sliced

  • A handful of fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice

  • 1 tsp honey 

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil or olive oil

  • A pinch of black salt (optional)

  1. Prepare the Bitter Gourd
    Slice the bitter gourd thinly, removing the seeds. To reduce bitterness, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Afterward, rinse well to remove excess salt and bitterness.

  2. Assemble the Salad
    In a bowl, combine the bitter gourd, mango, cucumber, and cilantro.

  3. Dress the Salad
    In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, honey, and sesame oil. Pour over the salad and toss to coat.
